By Besa Gordon - Well, this should be fun. So last week, on Back2Besa, in case you missed it. I caught up with Chef Wally (@walter.washington.21), who is part of the Northwest Gumbo competition that is going down this Saturday over at Zanadu Studios (@zanadu_studios). Chef Wally, will be competing against Chef Red of @comeeatdaddy, for who has the best gumbo. And the winner will be giving their proceeds to a foundation of their choice.

Now, as some of y’all know, my Dad‘s actually from Louisiana, so my expectations for gumbo are pretty freaking high. So when Chef Wally reached out, to let me know about this event coming up. I had to get some more details on what was going down, and who created this event. While also clearing out my schedule so I can pull up on Saturday to try this gumbo for myself and report back to yall.

Thankfully, I’ve had Chef Wally of Seattle Soul Kitchen’s food at different community events, and I’ve heard nothing but great things about Chef Red, so to be honest, I’m actually excited to pull up and see this all go down.
