An Evening with Dr. John Carlos
Hosted at the Tacoma Glass Museum, this year’s event will feature Olympic legend and civil rights icon Dr. John Carlos, whose raised fist on the 1968 Olympic podium became a defining moment in the global fight for equity and human rights. Dr. Carlos will deliver the keynote address, sharing his personal journey and insights.

Honoring Christine Reeves
Alongside an inspiring program and formal dinner, the evening will include a special tribute to Christine Reeves, recipient of the President’s Award. Presented by the NAACP President, this national distinction recognizes individuals for exceptional achievement and distinguished public service, continuing a tradition celebrated through the prestigious NAACP Image Awards.
