“Minding My Black Owned Business is about more than celebration; it’s about sustainability,” says Arlene Hampton, the event organizer. “We want to highlight the creativity and resilience of Black entrepreneurs while also educating our community on practical ways to ensure these businesses thrive long-term.” The evening will serve as both a community gathering and a call to action. Participants will learn about the challenges Black-owned businesses face, share resources, and discuss strategies to create a stronger ecosystem of support.

Where: JaRays Grill & Lounge – Capitol Hill, Seattle, WA • Featuring: Black-owned vendors, remarks by elected officials, BBQ & vegan gumbo, and community networking This event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend in support of Black-owned businesses and the movement toward a more equitable economy.
