THE RETROSPECTIVE — a solo exhibition by Takiyah Ward

WHAT: Thirteen original artworks — one for each Air Jordan silhouette, 1 through 13 — magnifying the materials that made the world obsess: tumbled leather, python embossing, foam midsoles, rubber outsoles. Created by Takiyah "TDUB" Ward — the Seattle artist behind the 2020 Black Lives Matter street mural and founder of The Re-Sole 206, the region's only sneaker care facility — the show treats the most influential footwear line in history as what it is: revolutionary design, peak form and function.
