The Seattle Center Exhibition Hall was buzzing with creativity and community as hundreds of tattoo enthusiasts and artists gathered for the annual Seattle Tattoo Expo. Held from August 15th to the 17th, the event marked its 20th year, solidifying its place as a premier gathering for the tattoo world.
This year's expo drew a diverse crowd, showcasing over 200 of the world’s most talented tattoo artists. Attendees had the unique opportunity to get tattooed on the spot by renowned artists, many of whom have long waiting lists at their home studios. Beyond the tattooing, the weekend was a vibrant celebration of tattoo culture. The popular tattoo contests featured categories like Best Portrait, American Traditional, and even the Worst Tattoo, where contestants proudly displayed their quirky or humorous ink.
In addition to the art, the expo offered a variety of entertainment, including live music, burlesque performances, and the always popular beer garden. These elements created a lively, festival-like atmosphere, making it a perfect weekend for both seasoned collectors and those new to the tattoo world to connect with artists, discover new styles, and immerse themselves in the rich artistry of tattooing.
