Besa Gordon Announces Leave from "Back2Besa" to Focus on Health

Besa Gordon, the host of the TV show Back2Besa on FOX13 Seattle and FOX SOUL, has announced today that she will be taking a temporary leave from her show to focus on her ongoing skin health. In a video announcement, Besa explained that she's experiencing recurring skin issues similar to those she faced last year. "Unfortunately, we have gotten to that time of year when my skin really just likes to give me a big middle finger," Besa shared.

Recognizing the early signs, including flaking skin and bruising on her legs and hands, Besa decided to take proactive steps to prevent her skin from getting rapidly worse as it had previously. "Rather than allowing for my skin to get out of pocket like it did last year," she explained, "I'm actually just gonna take a little bit of time off again." She will use this time to heal and consult with her doctors to determine the underlying cause, as she had hoped her skin would be fully healed by now.

Besa assured viewers that "Back2Besa isn't going anywhere." To keep the show vibrant in her absence, several guest hosts will be stepping in. Jazz from Seattle, Lex Scope, and Mark TellsYa will be taking the reins, bringing their individual styles and energy to the show. "You guys are going to be in amazing hands with all three of them," Besa stated, "and each one has their own vibe, which means that the show is going to also have a fresh flavor that I also know you all will enjoy."

Viewers can stay connected with Besa on her social media platforms, Instagram (@BesaGordon and @Back2BesaTV), and TikTok. She'll also be bringing back her Real Seattle Media Mixer on May 31st at McCall Hall in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Ballet. "I am super excited for that," she said.

Concluding her announcement, Besa emphasized, "This is not goodbye. This is just, you know, I'll see you a little later." She encouraged everyone to "keep that energy high" until her return.

You can catch Back2Besa with guest host Jazz From Seattle this Saturday at 10:30 pm on FOX13 Seattle, Sunday at 10 am on FOX13+, and free nationwide on the FOX Local App.
