Red Bull Lords Of The Floor made its long-awaited return to the Emerald City after over two decades, and our cameras and Besa Gordon was there to witness it all as breaking took over the city of Seattle.

It all started a few weeks ago when Graffiti artist Totem2, along with artists Charms, Graves, and Amanda, painted the Westside Wall to announce the arrival of the Lords Of The Floor.

Soon after, representatives from Seattle's Circle of Fire and the Soul Shifters visited the Black Media Matters Studio to provide insights into the event.

Excited about the upcoming event, Besa Gordon enlisted the help of her stylist, Akia Ronai, to ensure their outfit was on point for the big weekend ahead.

The festivities kicked off with a welcome mixer at Darkalinos & Hometeam in Pioneer Square, where old crews reunited and new ones gathered for the big event. Seattle Hip-Hop legends also made an appearance, adding to the electric atmosphere.

Throughout the weekend, Besa noticed Lords of the Floor wasn't just about dancing, as workshops at the W Hotel and Washington Hall featured industry icons like Battlecat, Pete Rock, Vitamin D, and Jake One sharing their expertise.

The following day, Besa Gordon received dance lessons from Jeromeskee, Twixx of Massive Monkees, and Red Bull BC One World Champion Victor before heading to Pike Place Market for a dance pop-up; and later attended the preliminaries at Washington Hall, where over 100 crews battled for spots at the main event.

The Lords of the Floor main event Competition at WAMU Theater was a memorable night. The energy was electric as dance crews from around the world competed for the title. Jo Koy and Common added to the excitement, with Stripes and Menno ultimately crowned as champions.

Overall, Besa says her Red Bull Lords of the Floor experience was unforgettable. Beyond the entertainment, the entire team was impressed by the dedication of the Red Bull team.

A big shoutout to everyone at Red Bull - let's not wait another 20 years for the next one!
