Celebrate Community and Legacy at African American Heritage Day

Baseball fans and Black Seattleites have a unique opportunity to honor local history and support great causes this summer. On Sunday, August 23, T-Mobile Park will host African American Heritage Day during the matchup between the Seattle Mariners and the Chicago Cubs at 1:10 p.m.

Organized in partnership with local Black-led nonprofits like Hey, Black Seattle!, churches, and the Seattle Chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the game promises to be an extraordinary celebration of Black culture, excellence, and legacy in the Pacific Northwest.

Attendees purchasing special event tickets will receive an exclusive Steelheads-themed jersey, designed to pay homage to the rich history of Black baseball and softball in Seattle. In addition to celebrating the region's vibrant history, $5 from each ticket purchased will be donated directly to a participating local organization chosen by the buyer at checkout.

Whether coming out for the love of the game or to support local neighborhood initiatives, fans will experience an unforgettable day of sports, unity, and heritage at the ballpark. Don't miss out on securing a specially priced ticket to represent and give back!
