Community Celebrates Grand Opening of Unbound Health & Wellness in Capitol Hill
The Capitol Hill community recently gathered to celebrate the grand opening and official ribbon-cutting ceremony of Unbound Health & Wellness, a new facility dedicated to physical fitness, mental strength, and holistic well-being.
The event, covered by Trae Holiday, host of the Day with Trae, showcased an energetic neighborhood turnout as residents, friends, and family filled the new space. The fitness center represents a collaborative effort by its three co-founders, Sam Gavit, Marcus Allen Wells, and Jordan Daisy, who sought to establish an inclusive environment where individuals can pursue fitness without boundaries.
Reflecting on the opening, co-founder Marcus Allen Wells explained the motivation behind the project, noting a desire to provide a much-needed space for personal growth.
"We wanted to fill a void and supplement the city with something that we felt short of having consistently in our life,” he said. “That was a center for fitness—a place to come and develop mentally, physically, and spiritually.”
Co-founder Jordan Daisy, who shared that this milestone has been over 16 years in the making, emphasized the facility's deeper purpose of fostering lasting personal transformation.
"We actually want to see people create change for themselves and know that there are no limits, they're unbound," Daisy said. Co-founder Sam Gavit further underscored this mission, describing Unbound as a space built specifically for the community to "come as you are, and to leave living limitless."
Local gym member Michael Cepress spoke on the positive impact the trainers have had on his routine, explaining how the facility offers more than traditional physical workouts.
"This isn't something just for my physical health, but it's for my emotional health, my spiritual health... it can really be a good thing for my entire life," Cepress said.
