Elevating the Vibe: Inside Chef Unika's Infused Game Night and the Quest for Community

#ConvergeMediaPresents - We recently expanded our storytelling horizons into Seattle’s cannabis culture when LUVN Social Club hosted an infused Game Night at a private loft in Interbay. Spearheaded by Chef Unika of LUVN Kitchn in partnership with Seattle Sluggers and Magnus Premium, the Game Night fused gourmet cannabis-infused cuisine, community, and friendly competition.

Converge producer and cannabis enthusiast Curtis Delgardo II, aka Cuddy, immediately felt a flood of good vibes when he arrived at the event.

“This is like home,” he said. “Turn your phone off. You got weed. We got wraps. We got pizza. We got drinks. You don't need to go anywhere.”

The Trifecta: Food, Fellowship, and Flower

The menu for the evening featured pizzas with cannabis-infused crusts using a specific strain called lilac diesel. Offerings included a barbecue chicken pizza with infused barbecue sauce, pepperoni with infused pickled candied peppers, and even a Canadian bacon and pineapple option. A side salad with an infused herb dressing made with Hawaiian honey rounded out the meal.

For Chef Unika, the event continued a philosophy she calls “Fellowship,” which was the name of her very first dinner series.

"It means a gathering of like-minded individuals for a common cause," she said. "So in this case, that's good food, good fellowship, good community and cannabis.”

The Grower’s Perspective

Leon Verrett, the owner and head grower at Verret House LLC, supplied the night's high-quality flower, operating under the brands Magnus Premium and Seattle Sluggers. Acknowledging the industry's stark reality, Verrett noted the scarcity of other minority-owned weed growers and distributors.

"This business is not about Black and white,” he said. “It's about green."

With laughter filling the loft and visible relief on attendees' faces, it’s clear the collective is succeeding in creating a safe and joyful space.
