Framing the Vision: Besa Gordon’s Creative Journey with Jordan Somers

You ever meet someone who just gets your vision, like without you even having to say much? That’s exactly what it’s been like working with photographer Jordan Somers over the years. If every photo he’s taken could talk, I swear they’d tell a full story of growth, creativity, and a whole lot of joy.

This post is my little love letter to the man behind so many of my favorite moments, both on and off camera.

A Partnership in Pixels

Jordan isn’t just someone I call when I need photos. He’s been a true creative partner since day one. From headshots and events to random behind-the-scenes chaos, he’s captured it all with the kind of precision and care that’s rare to find.

It’s not just about how technically gifted he is. It’s the way he captures the energy of a moment. Jordan has this rare ability to make photos feel alive. He doesn’t just snap what’s in front of him; he somehow gets the vibe, the emotion, the story behind it. Every shoot we’ve done feels like he’s translating what’s in my head into something you can actually see.

More Than Just a Click

If you’ve ever been in front of a camera, you know it can get awkward fast. But working with Jordan? Never. He brings this calm, creative energy that makes you forget you’re even being photographed. He directs when he needs to, he laughs with you, and he has this way of catching those little, unscripted moments that end up being the ones you love most.

A perfect example is when he came out to FOX 13 Seattle to capture the behind-the-scenes magic for my birthday episode of Back2Besa. We were filming, running around, celebrating, and Jordan was just in the zone. Every shot from that day told a story: the smiles, the setup, the movement. He caught it all like he’d been part of the crew forever.

What Makes Jordan’s Work So Special

The Power of Light: He knows how to use light to create mood. Whether it’s bright and joyful or soft and intimate, every photo feels intentional.

Attention to Detail: Jordan doesn’t miss a thing. From adjusting a strand of hair to making sure the shot feels natural, he treats every click like it matters because it does.

Consistency: After all these years, he’s still bringing that same fire to every project. No matter how big or small, you know the photos will be stunning.

Thank You, Jordan

Jordan, thank you for always showing up with your camera and your heart. Thank you for capturing my milestones, my projects, and the moments that remind me why I do this work in the first place.

Your photos are more than just images. They’re memories, milestones, and motivation all wrapped in one.

If you’ve never worked with Jordan before, trust me, you’re missing out on a real one. He’s not just taking pictures; he’s documenting legacies. To work with Jordan Somers, head over to jordansomers.com
