From Healing to Headlines: Besa Gordon Is Back for Season 3 of Back2Besa
After a two-month hiatus to prioritize her health, Besa Gordon made a heartfelt return to Good Day Seattle, where she sat down with Bill Wixey and opened up about her healing journey, self-acceptance, and what’s next for her hit show Back2Besa. The comeback wasn’t just emotional—it was triumphant.
In her first appearance back on air, Besa opened up about stepping away from the spotlight to care for her physical and emotional health. She revealed that after discontinuing her use of topical steroids—a treatment she had relied on since childhood—she developed Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW), a painful condition that caused her eczema to spread full-body, leaving scars, discoloration, and moments of deep discomfort.
Last year, during a particularly difficult flare-up, Besa said she barely left her apartment out of embarrassment. But this year, she made a different choice—to show up, fully and authentically.
“This is just a part of you. It’s not your entire story,” she said, reflecting on her journey. “You’re still beautiful. You genuinely are enough of everything, and you’re worthy of everything that you want.”
During the segment, the Good Day team also played a powerful clip of Besa performing her original poem Enough—a piece she first shared at an event in Spokane that marked a turning point in her healing. The poem explores themes of resilience, self-worth, and reclaiming one’s identity:
“They told me I was too much… too loud… too bright… But I was never made to shrink. I was made to rise.”
That rise includes the official announcement that Back2Besa has been renewed for Season 3 on FOX 13 Seattle.
“Back2Besa has officially been renewed for a third season, so we are coming back!” she said with excitement. “I want to thank my entire team at Converge Media and FOX 13 Seattle for believing in this vision.”
Season 3 promises an even wider range of stories, with this week’s episode featuring a look at comedian Nate Jackson’s Netflix special premiere for “Supper Funny” at Nate Jackson’s Super Funny Comedy Club, the heartwarming stride with the Daddy Strollers Social Club, and a standout fashion moment in Portland called Bloom Runway Dynasty.
After the interview, the love didn’t stop when the cameras did. Besa was met with an outpouring of support from the FOX 13 Seattle team, who embraced not only her return but the vulnerability she shared on air. Co-anchor Mireya Garcia, traffic anchor Adam Gehrke, meteorologist Abby Acone, Executive Producer Adrian Garcia, and several others at FOX 13 made it a point to show love behind the scenes, reminding Besa that her honesty, strength, and presence were not only welcomed but deeply appreciated. It was a full-circle moment of affirmation, reinforcing what Besa already knows: showing up as your full self is more than enough.
Besa’s appearance and return reminded viewers why she’s a beloved voice in Seattle media: honest, uplifting, and always pushing the culture forward.
Back2Besa airs Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. on FOX 13 Seattle and Sundays at 10:00 a.m. on FOX 13+.
