From the Mic to the Moment: Besa Gordon Looks Back At V101.1 Holiday Jam
By Besa Gordon So today is the last day of 2025. And as I’m stepping into the new year, I keep finding myself looking back at moments like this.
This was the end of 2023… living my best life, on stage, backstage, and everywhere in between with my radio fam (Strawberry, Lizette Love, Eric Rosado, DJ Shorte, my girl Christie, the big homie CK, and Magic Matt) at the V101.1 Holiday Jam. Oh! And can we get into the lineup: E-40, Mýa, DJ Quik, Sage the Gemini, Frankie J, Baby Bash, Blackstreet, Petey Pablo, and Lumidee. At the time, I had no idea this would be one of my last big radio concert moments. I was just present. Laughing. Dancing. Loving the craft. Loving my people.
So as we close out this year… Happy New Year’s Eve everyone. I know 2025 was a rough one for a lot of us. But as we step into 2026, I hope we carry the moments when we smiled, when we laughed, and when we danced like no one was watching, and let that energy lead the way.
