Going National: Trae Holiday Set to Guest Host Back2Besa on FOX SOUL

Get ready, FOX SOUL family! This Saturday, the incredible Trae Holiday, host of Converge Media's The Day With Trae, is going national as she steps in as guest host on Back2Besa on FOX SOUL! And if that wasn't exciting enough, Trae is fresh off her Emmy win last month for The Day With Trae – so you know she's bringing that award-winning energy!

For those who might not know, the FOX SOUL show and the FOX 13 Seattle show are two entirely different shows, even though they share the same name. Back2Besa on FOX13 Seattle is all about current events and what’s happening now around the region. Back2Besa on FOX SOUL is curated with some of our very best and compelling stories from all across the Pacific Northwest over the years to uplift who we are as a people to a national audience.

Trae Holiday is a force to be reckoned with: a host, mother, grandmother, community organizer, Black liberation advocate, and a proud legacy resident of Seattle’s Central District. She's passionate about ensuring the legacy of Black people in her community is never erased and encouraging everyone to be part of the solution.

This Week on Back2Besa on FOX SOUL

This jam-packed episode will take you on a journey through incredible stories. We start in Tacoma, Washington, with a look at the massive Juneteenth Washington celebration. Our very own Besa Gordon joined over 15,000 people for "Juneteenth Celebration: A Road to Economic Freedom," featuring performances by Fred Hammond, Crystal Aikin, and Soul 4 Real, celebrating the enduring strength and resilience of the community. Then, we stay in the City of Destiny and tap in with D Smoke and the Innovative Change Makers. They lit up the Eastside Community Center with discussions on positivity, unity, and connecting generations, tackling everything from behavioral health to environmental justice.

Back in Seattle, we'll uplift two amazing Black women-owned businesses. First, we visit MUVA, an art gallery founded by artist and mother Janara Swanson, which offers a unique space where creativity and motherhood intersect, aiming to empower artist-moms. Then, we head to Pike Place Market to discover RoJo Juice, the inspiring story of Rhonda Faison's health oasis, driven by family love and a divine calling to provide organic, natural nourishment.

Next, Trae shares a special behind-the-scenes look at her show, The Day With Trae, giving viewers a glimpse into the hard work and dedication that goes into producing a daily show focused on uplifting the community. She'll also share her inspiring Emmy speech, a moment of profound personal and communal celebration. We then head to the Stewart Performance Center in South Seattle to connect with powerlifting legend Bull Stewart, who has been developing world champion powerlifters for decades, fostering a drug-free environment and creating opportunities for growth. Finally, we travel four hours east to the City of Spokane to see how the Black Homeownership Spokane Cohort is not only changing the narrative but transforming lives, building legacies and shattering systemic inequity through homeownership.

Don't miss a minute of this inspiring episode! Tune in to Back2Besa on FOX SOUL with your guest host, Trae Holiday, as she guides us through these powerful narratives of community, resilience, and change.
