Jazz From Seattle Highlights MUVA on Good Day Seattle — and Makes Her Back2Besa Hosting Debut
With Besa Gordon taking time off from Back2Besa to prioritize her health, Good Day Seattle and host Erin Mayovsky welcomed a fresh face to the studio—Jazz From Seattle, who not only filled in on-air but also brought viewers an impactful story about a new retail space changing the game for mompreneurs in Seattle.
On her first-ever Good Day appearance, Jazz introduced us to MUVA, a new gift shop in the Columbia Tower. Founded by Jonarra Swanson, MUVA is powered entirely by mom-owned small businesses. The store features handmade soaps, candles, crochet bags, coasters, greeting cards, children’s books, jewelry, and so much more—all created by mothers juggling entrepreneurship and family life.
But MUVA isn’t just about selling products—it’s about building a creative, kid-friendly community. The shop includes a maker space where moms can work on their crafts while their children play nearby. As Jazz shared, "You don’t have to compromise being a mom over your artistry. This is somewhere where you can merge those two."
The Good Day segment also featured several artists and vendors who have been uplifted by MUVA, highlighting how the shop gives mothers the tools, space, and confidence to turn their creativity into sustainable income. One artist described the space as “empowering” and “intentional,” a place where every woman’s voice and story are celebrated.
This Saturday, viewers will also see Jazz guest host Back2Besa, where she’ll continue Besa’s mission of spotlighting Black-owned businesses and community culture across the Pacific Northwest.
