Emmy award-winning choreographer Koach Giggz, a dynamic force originally from Seattle, recently marked his birthday with a spectacular four-day "Giggzs Day OKC" celebration. This massive success highlighted not only his deep, cross-country connections but also his dedicated commitment to community-building since establishing roots in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma last year.

A Star-Studded, Four-Day Convergence

The festivities culminated in Koach’s signature Black & Red party at Santos Restaurant & Bar. The main event featured a thrilling performance by artist Kstylis and was co-hosted by OKC's own premier radio personality Tara T, the midday host and "First Lady" of KVSP Power 103.5.

"I felt so celebrated. I felt seen. I felt just honored to have so many people from out of town come to celebrate me, including the plethora of people that pulled up from Oklahoma City,” Koach shared.

The heartfelt turnout served as a powerful testament to Koach’s positive influence and the community love he inspires. Despite significant travel challenges, including widespread flight cancellations, guests—including Seattle’s “We Live In Color” host Deaunte Damper—flew in from across the nation to attend.

New Partnerships and Amplified Voice

The celebration coincided with a high-profile collaboration with Tara T, a connection that began simply when Koach reached out for help on a Sunday brunch flyer. Already known for interviewing major figures like Marlon Wayans and Bill Bellamy, Tara T quickly recognized Koach’s formidable drive and impact within the OKC community, leading to an invitation to her show.

"Koach is really driven,” she commented. “I love his drive. I love…how he dances, his personality. He's a good, happy person."

As co-host, Tara T was key in introducing Koach to the city. She later hosted him for an interview to discuss the "Giggz Day OKC" event, his background, and his vital work uplifting the LGBTQ community. Tara T concluded with high praise: “If I could tell Koach anything, I would tell him to keep being him. Keep doing great things, and the elevators always go up.”

Gratitude, Growth, and Unconditional Foundation

Reflecting on the overwhelming support, Koach Giggz expressed a profound sense of gratitude. "What's higher than gratitude? What's higher than being grateful?" he posed. While OKC is now his established home, he emphasized that Seattle remains his unconditional foundation—a community he is committed to highlighting and pouring back into, regardless of his location.
