Learn To Make Halloween Themed Cocktails With Ashaunti Martin-Smith and Couture Cocktails

It’s Halloween and businesses across Seattle are getting in the spirit of the Holiday. Couture Cocktails 206 and owner Ashaunti Martin hosted a Halloween Cocktail making class at Made Space earlier this month, and Back2Besa Host Besa Gordon was there to tap in and #SupportBlackBusiness.

For Martin, it’s a way to express herself and showcase her drinks in a fun and community-focused environment.

“It’s an experience,” Sister Cousin SaRita said. “From the energy to the people, you’re having a good time. I like the fact that she does holiday themes.”

Attendees learned to make a Blackberry Sour as well as a Tropical Mocktail. Library Worker Maddy Wichryk found the event online and was grateful she did.

“My favorite part was learning these cool new ingredients that Id never heard of before and meeting new people,” Wichryk said.

Martin also hosts classes around other holidays like Valentines Day and Christmas. Wichryk says she will be attending more and hopes others will join her.

“It was a blast and Ashanti is an amazing bartender,” Wichryk said.
