Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream Celebrates Women’s History Month with 2026 Honorees and Seasonal Flavors

Since 2019, Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream has honored Women’s History Month by recognizing women whose leadership and work contribute to making communities safer, more equitable, and welcoming. For 2026, the company proudly presents four phenomenal women as its honorees:

  • Jennifer Ament, Artist

  • Dr. Rachel Issaka, Gastroenterologist & Clinical Researcher

  • Nneka Ogwumike, Athlete

  • Joy Shigaki, Community Leader

To celebrate, Molly Moon's has crafted seasonal ice cream flavors in close collaboration with each honoree. These flavors are inspired by the women’s favorite ingredients, personalities, and the ice cream memories that shaped them.

Jennifer Ament: Artist

Jen Ament is a multi-media artist in Seattle known for exploring darker human themes through magical and illusionary motifs in her printmaking, painting, and murals. Her work has been featured in exhibitions across the U.S.

Flavor: Marionberry Pie - This flavor features a sweet cream base lightly kissed with vanilla, showcasing chunks of homemade marionberry pie with an all-butter flaky crust and PNW marionberries from family-run Sidhu Farms. Ms. Ament notes that the flavor is a reminder of her Pacific Northwest home, recalling Whidbey Island Marionberry Pie at every family gathering.

She focuses on increasing early cancer screening to prevent cancer deaths, particularly in underserved communities. Dr. Issaka leads a patient-centered cancer screening program in the Pacific Northwest, and her research helps shape medical care and health policy nationwide.

Flavor: Malva Pudding Cake - Classic sweet cream ice cream is folded with freshly baked pieces of traditional South African Malva pudding cake—a moist toffee sponge cake soaked in a rich sauce of butter, brown sugar, and cream—and paired with bright, tangy swirls of homemade apricot jam. Dr. Issaka stated that the team’s creation truly delivers the special flavors of Malva Pudding.
