NATAS Northwest To Host Storytelling Workshop At Gonzaga University
SPOKANE, WA— In less than three weeks, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Northwest (NATAS) is hosting yet another storytelling workshop, this time at Gonazaga University on Saturday, October 18. Registration is closing TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 1st, so get your tickets while you still can!
This unique event features incredible industry leaders in media, ranging from documentarians to reality television producers to Back2Besa’s Besa Gordon, and is open to all media professionals and high school and college students. Cost is only $20, which includes lunch and snacks.
After a wildly successful workshop in Boise, Idaho in 2023 attended by Gordon, NATAS Northwest is excited to continue bringing together talented media professionals from across the region with their own unique perspectives on good storytelling. “I feel really proud of the two dozen speakers that we have committed. They're rocks stars,” Nicole Sanchez, Regional Chair of NATAS in Idaho and organizer of the event, said.
Besa Gordon ventures out to Boise, Idaho for the 2023 NATAS Storytelling Workshop.
Led by inspirational leaders in media, including journalist Michael Driver of FOX 13, Laura Evans of KIRO, and freelance producer Chelsea Shepherd, the individual workshops cover a wide and dynamic range of topics. From producing, content creation, reporting, editing, videography, ethics, sports, and reality TV, there is truly something for anyone looking to explore their own storytelling niche or passion.
Sanchez emphasized that the Gonzaga workshop is an opportunity to reestablish strategy and perspective on what it takes to tell a good story. “The world is in a dark path right now. I think there's a lot going on, and it's great to be able to have events where people can come together and just share and learn,” she said.
