PDX Hip Hop Week & STAR Awards Return to The Rose City This Month
Portland is set to vibrate with energy as the city prepares for the 2026 PDX Hip Hop Week, a week-long celebration dedicated to honoring the profound impact of Hip Hop culture. Presented by The Leadertainment Foundation, O.G. Productions, and Prosper Portland, this event brings the community together under the banner: "One Week. One Culture. One City."
The week promises a lineup featuring music, education, wellness, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, community engagement, and the arts. This annual celebration is a showcase of the diversity and positive influence that hip hop continues to bring to the Pacific Northwest.

Two anchor events are set to highlight the week:
Kick-Off Block Party: The festivities officially begin on Thursday, August 20, at Portland City Hall. The celebration runs from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM and is an all-ages event.
2026 STAR Awards: The pinnacle of the week takes place on Sunday, August 23, at The Patricia Reser Center for the Arts. From 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, this signature event will recognize the artists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders whose contributions elevate Portland's Hip Hop culture.
