PHOTOS: Seattle Central Little League Celebrates Opening Day at Judkins Park

While the Mariners celebrated their first Steelhead Sunday of the season, Seattle Central Little League kicked things off with an opening day jamboree at Judkins Park and Playfield. The event brought together coaches, families, and young athletes for a vibrant parade and celebration of the game.

This year's teams carry the names of legendary Negro Leagues franchises, including the Seattle Steelheads, Indianapolis Clowns, Kansas City Monarchs, and Pittsburgh Crawfords. By wearing these historic names, our youth are connecting directly with the rich legacy of those who paved the way.

As we honor this history on the field, we are reminded of the lasting impact these icons have on our culture and our future. Sundays are truly for the Steelheads—respecting the past while owning the future.

Respect the past, own the future. Sundays are for the Steelheads.
