Host Trae Holiday recently sat down with Priyansha Bagaria, the CEO and co-founder of Seattle-based tech startup Loopr AI, on The Day With Trae. Bagaria shared her journey from a small town in India to leading a rapidly expanding artificial intelligence enterprise that is actively redefining quality control processes in manufacturing and aerospace.
A Divine Pipeline of Entrepreneurship
Bagaria’s path to tech innovation is rooted in her upbringing. As a fourth-generation entrepreneur raised in a manufacturing family business, she spent childhood holidays on factory floors learning processes directly from operators. When she eventually joined her father’s company full-time, she observed firsthand the persistent challenges associated with quality control, an issue she later recognized on a much larger scale while working with major corporations.
Driven to solve this widespread systemic problem, Bagaria pursued a data science fellowship at Cornell University, diving deep into practical AI applications. The pivotal moment came while working for an AI consulting firm selling computer vision solutions for retail; she realized she could pivot this technology to address the manufacturing gaps she had witnessed since youth.
In 2021, Loopr AI was officially founded, developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and securing an early customer willing to test and fine-tune the system. Bagaria described the company’s trajectory, from securing investors out of nowhere to strategic scaling, as a product of "divine planning" fueled by an absolute obsession with the problem at hand.
Solving the "High Mix, Low Volume" Crisis
Bagaria explained the specific issues Loopr AI addresses for modern production lines. Traditionally, factories operated on a low-mix, high-volume model, creating thousands of identical products. Today, lines operate under high-mix, low-volume scenarios where a single production line may handle distinct custom orders for multiple clients simultaneously. For operators, tracking vast configurations manually becomes incredibly challenging.
Using the example of a commercial trucking client whose buyers purchase vehicles worth $300,000, Bagaria noted that even minor deviations from custom specifications, such as incorrect lighting, can damage brand trust and cause expensive reworks. Furthermore, manual inspection poses immense risks for safety-critical components where oversight could lead to fatal road accidents. Loopr AI serves as a "four-eye technology," providing operators with an extra set of digital eyes to eliminate scrap costs and stop errors before they manifest.
The technology also directly addresses a major demographic shift: the widespread retirement of seasoned manufacturing veterans. Bagaria shared that one client lost five workers over the age of 60 in a single month, resulting in a massive loss of institutional knowledge from the factory floor. Loopr AI bridges this labor gap, allowing new hires to deliver peak-level quality control from day one.
Interconnected, Mobile, and Fast to Deploy
Unlike historic point-solution vision systems that isolate a single task, such as welding, Loopr AI offers an end-to-end connected system. It tracks components from incoming parts inspections through inline processes like welding, painting, and wire-harnessing, Bagaria said.
Earning Industry Recognition
Since its 2021 origins, the company has scaled to a robust team of nearly 30 employees across engineering, machine learning, sales, and marketing. This rapid success recently culminated in the company winning the prestigious 2026 GeekWire Award, cementing Loopr AI's status as a rising force within the Pacific Northwest tech landscape.
