Reign Of Style Honors Washington's Talented Beauty Professionals at 7th Annual MANE Awards

The Washington State beauty community gathered recently for the 7th annual MANE Awards. Hosted by Reign Of Style, the ceremony was dedicated to nominating, crowning, and celebrating the region's talented beauty professionals.

“Making sure that they feel seen, feel loved, feel appreciated is the reason why I continue to have the Reign of Style hair competition and show and events like the MANE Awards,” Reign Of Style CEO Aisha Ellis Asim said.

For many attendees, the evening represented the culmination of years of dedication. MANE Instructor Winner Keshayla Jewell reflected on nearly decade-long career in the industry, noting that the event allowed her hard work to be applauded. Loctician Millie Thompson highlighted the personal nature of the work, stating that being recognized validates the mental focus and effort required to create beautiful styles and braids for her clients.

"It feels wonderful to be celebrated by your community and to be recognized in this space,” MANE Awards Winner in the Weavology Category Shaniquah Humphrey said.

The MANE Awards continues to be a main stage for artists and creators who bring life to their clients, reinforcing that their contributions to the community are both necessary and highly valued.

"In one word, it's life,” MANE Awards nominee Michelle MiMi Lee said while describing the local beauty scene. “Life in hair, life in the industry, life in the beauty community in Seattle... we bring life to people and that's what this is."
