Seattle’s Premier Open Mic is Back, And It’s Finally Home At Colman Commons
The wait is over, Seattle. After nearly a year, healing arts studio Inside’s Open Mic Night is officially back, and this time, they’re planting roots. Starting Friday, July 31st, Inside has found its forever home at Colman Commons. This return isn’t just a restart; it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the voices that make our city incredible.
To mark the occasion, Inside is bringing the energy. Both powerhouse hosts, Converge’s own Deaunte Damper and Pacific Northwest artist Darryl Foto, are back in the house. You know what that means: double the hosting, double the shenanigans, and twice the vibe.
What to Expect
Inside remains a space dedicated to experience, exploration, and expression. They are committed to centering Black, Indigenous, and underrepresented voices, and opening the stage to all art forms. Whether you’re a poet, musician, comedian, storyteller, or dancer, this is your platform.

Starting this month, Inside’s Open Mic Night will happen every last Friday of the month at Colman Commons. Below are more details for July’s event:

How to Secure Your Spot
This is a popular event and the sign-up list fills up within the first 15–20 minutes of doors opening, so getting there early is a must. Tickets are required for entry. The community is strongly encourage you to grab them in advance to save yourself the stress:
General Entry: $10 (Advance) | $10 cash or $15 card (Door).
Guaranteed Seating (VIP): $20 (Reserved seat).
Guaranteed Performance Slots: Skip the sign-up line with a guaranteed 5-minute set. ($25 for artists of color; $35 for allies).
The community has been asking, and Inside has been listening. They’ve spent the last year healing and regrouping, and are ready to hold space for the community once again. Come through, grab a drink, hit the stage, and be part of the moment we’ve all been waiting for.
