Some Like It Hot Brings Broadway Heat to Seattle

Seattle theater lovers, mark your calendars — Broadway is coming to town in a big way. From September 16–21, Some Like It Hot, the Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical comedy, will light up The Paramount Theatre as part of the 2025/2026 Broadway at The Paramount series.

Set during the Prohibition era, Some Like It Hot follows two musicians who find themselves on the run after witnessing a mob hit. To escape danger, they take on new disguises and embark on a wild cross-country adventure that’s packed with toe-tapping dance numbers, big laughs, and just the right amount of romance. Along the way, they cross paths with a singer chasing stardom and a wealthy suitor looking for true love — and let’s just say, things get complicated fast.

The musical is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Mean Girls, Aladdin) with a vibrant score from the Hairspray duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. The book is co-written by Tony winner Matthew López (The Inheritance) and Amber Ruffin (The Amber Ruffin Show), bringing new life and fresh perspectives to a classic story that has already been called “a super-sized all out song-and-dance spectacular” (The New York Times).

With four Tony Awards, including Best Choreography and Best Costumes, plus a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album, Some Like It Hot has proven itself as one of Broadway’s most celebrated new shows. Now, Seattle gets its turn to experience the razzle-dazzle live.

🎟️ Tickets are on sale now at STGPresents.org, at the Paramount Theatre Box Office, or via Ticketmaster. Don’t miss your chance to see Broadway magic in the heart of Seattle.
