Spokane’s Largest Multimedia Art Event Returns: Celebrate Terrain 17 This October
The Inland Northwest’s premier multimedia arts and music event is returning with its largest showcase of art and artists to date. Terrain, a grassroots nonprofit organization that has championed the local art scene since 2008, is preparing to host its 17th annual Flagship Event on October 2nd, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.
This highly anticipated community event is completely free and open to all ages, attracting more than 10,000 attendees annually to celebrate regional creativity. This year's event will feature 1,011 unique works created by 523 local artists, including poets, photographers, filmmakers, musicians, and performers living and creating in the Inland Northwest.

The celebration will take place inside the historic Jensen Byrd warehouse, located at 314 W. Riverside. Once a busy hardware store stocked with buggy wheels, horseshoes, and lumber, the historic venue will be completely transformed into a lively exhibition of the region's immense creative talent. Attendees can expect to experience a full spectrum of artistic disciplines, from painting, sculpture, and mixed media to live music, theater, dance, poetry, and immersive sound installations.
In addition to the extensive art displays, guests can enjoy a variety of activities and local refreshments. The event will feature a video photobooth provided by Electric Photoland, craft brews from Uprise Brewing Co., and beer and wine from Wildland Coop. A diverse selection of food trucks will also be on-site, providing the perfect backdrop for attendees to mingle and connect directly with the regional artists.

For those who prefer to skip the large crowds, Terrain is hosting an exclusive "sneak peek" and artists' reception on October 1st, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This special Preview Night is capped at just 1,000 people, including the participating artists themselves, offering a more relaxed atmosphere to explore the works and invest in local art. Tickets for the Preview Night start at $25 per person.
