Support Local, Eat Soulful: Besa Gordon Talks Lizzie Lou’s Too on Good Day Seattle
By Besa Gordon - This week’s appearance on Good Day Seattle was packed with flavor—and heart.
During my weekly appearance on FOX 13’s Good Day Seattle with Erin Mayovsky, we talked about one of the latest features on Back2Besa: Lizzie Lou’s Too, a hidden culinary gem located inside Destination Harley-Davidson in Fife. As part of our ongoing Support Black Business campaign, this segment shines a light on the delicious food, incredible owner, and very real challenges small businesses like Lizzie Lou’s Too are navigating right now.
Let’s just start with this: if you haven’t had their loaded shrimp and grits, you are missing out! Chef and owner Warnessa Victorian pours her whole soul into every plate. As she puts it, she does “comfort food with a soul food flair”—and trust me, it’s a whole experience. From Chef’s Choice custom dishes to plates that look like edible art, this isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a destination.
During our chat, I shared how Lizzie Lou’s unique location makes it both special and, at times, a challenge. Because it’s tucked inside a Harley-Davidson showroom, you have to know it’s there to go—meaning foot traffic doesn’t just stumble in. Add in a local bridge closure and car troubles, and it becomes even more important that the community rallies behind her.
“She’s one of the hardest working women I know,” shared one loyal customer. Another pointed out how people drive from Kent just for her breakfast. That’s love—and it’s that kind of support we hope to keep building through this campaign.
If you missed it, the full segment airs this weekend on Back2Besa—Saturday at 10:30 p.m. on FOX 13 and Sunday at 10 a.m. on FOX 13+.
Major thank you to the Good Day team for giving these stories the space they deserve. And to everyone reading: if you’re in the Fife area (or honestly even if you’re not), make that drive to Lizzie Lou’s Too. Support local, eat good, and spread the word.
