Where Laughter Meets Liberation: The Disabled List Comedy Festival Is Happening This Week
Seattle’s Fourth Annual Disabled List Comedy Festival returns January 22–25, 2026, bringing four nights of sharp, joyful, and unapologetically disabled comedy to Northwest Film Forum and Theatre Off Jackson.
Produced and hosted by local comedians Dan Hurwitz and Kayla Brown, the festival builds on three consecutive sold-out years with its biggest lineup yet. The 2026 festival is headlined by Tina Friml (The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon) and features a powerhouse roster including Hayden Kristal (America’s Got Talent finalist), Gibran Saleem (MTV’s Beyond the Wall), Derek Sheen, viral sensation Comrade Tripp, and many more, alongside musical performances from Seattle legend Fantasy A and others.
This year also marks The Disabled List’s first-ever partnership with Mouthwater Dance, a project centering Black, Brown, and Indigenous disabled artists. Together, they will co-produce two festival after-parties on Friday, January 23 and Sunday, January 25, hosted by Saira Barbaric and the evening star, creating space for connection, celebration, and cross-disciplinary performances.
Accessibility is foundational to the festival. All performances take place in wheelchair-accessible venues, include live auto-captioning, and select shows feature ASL interpretation. The Disabled List has been performing since 2018 and has been featured at Bumbershoot, Wet City Comedy Festival, Haha Harvest Comedy Festival (PDX), Variety Magazine, and KING 5’s Evening Magazine.
