WEIRD AT NIGHT: Double Feature

Got an art itch in between your shoulders that nothing seems to reach? We got you! WEIRD at NIGHT is a weekly interactive art stream airing on Saturday nights at 10pm PT and this week we have DOUBLE the art, surreal comedy, music, and public access-inspired insanity! In addition to music videos from Lizzie No and Medejin AND the return of our soft rock psychopath, Ryan Bryan and his series “Ryan Bryan Teaches Guitar” AND the continuously unfolding melodrama of our animated characters and their far out adventures, this week we present a WEIRD at NIGHT double feature right here on Converge Media’s Facebook page.

At 11pm, when we usually wrap up our cosmic calamity, we instead explore “Grow Heart” an interactive art installation by Blazinspace and Ray (nee Kelly Fleek). The exhibit, currently displayed at Vermillion in Seattle until February 3rd, has captured the imagination of Capitol Hill bar hoppers and art appreciators alike. On Saturday, we’ll explore it in-depth. Emphasizing video, light, and textile art, “Grow Heart” is immersive and meditative. “Grow Heart” is a garden of light and shadows emanating from treeform, crystallized structures knit by artist Ray (nee Kelly Fleek), with stunning visuals created by Blazinspace. With musical inspiration and accompaniment courtesy of renowned ambient artist Noel Brass Jr, we’ll feature interviews with the creators and much more.

On WEIRD at NIGHT we say “Art is the Antidote” and this Saturday, we’ll show you exactly what we mean.
