Back2Besa host Besa Gordon tapped into her Chakra and love for crystals and visited Rainbow-Renee Wyola Manier at the crystal shop she co-owns, Ola Wyola, on Rainier Ave S. While there, she explored the various crystals and amulets Wyola has on offer and partook in a cleansing Sound Bowl healing ritual.

As part of #Back2Besa’s Hispanic Heritage Month feature during the month of September, producer Cesar Canizales traveled to El Salvador to show us the people and culture of his home country. While there, he visited numerous sites including the archeological ruins of the Pipil people, the volcano of Santa Ana, and even shows us a national favorite food - the Pupusa.

Kraken season is finally back, and #Back2Besa host Besa Gordon pulled up to the first pre-season game to check on the team and tap in with the voice of the Kraken Everett Fitzhugh as well as Kraken superfan Alicia Crank. For Gordon, it was a full circle moment after her first Kraken interview came with Fitz nearly a year to the day prior.

Friends of Waterfront Seattle brought the community out to Pier 62 for Pier Party, a fundraiser for the work being done by the organization as part of their expansive goal to create space for all of Seattle to enjoy the waterfront which raised nearly $200,000.

Converge Queens connected at Takiyah “TDUB” Ward’s soft opening of her brand new Re-Sole retail shop on E Union street as Trae Holiday joined her to speak about the milestone. The shop specializes in custom sneaker painting, dry-cleaning, and more and has become known as one of the top sneaker care shops in Seattle.

The first annual King County Green Jobs, Green Futures Summit took place at the Fremont Foundry on September 29th, bringing people from across Seattle together to explore the ways they can get involved with sustainability efforts and eco-friendly industries. The event featured a job showcase as well as a talent jam.

Last Monday, community members gathered to remember those we’ve lost during the City of Seattle and the Alliance for Gun Responsibility One Seattle Day of Remembrance event at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church on Capitol Hill in Seattle. It was a somber and reflective day featuring a memorial as well as a look at the work different organizations and individuals are doing throughout the community to end the epidemic of violence.

September 29th was national coffee day, and to celebrate Besa Gordon headed to Boon Boona Coffee in Renton to learn all about the coffee-making process and taste different brews.

Back2Besa host Besa Gordon stopped by SpoonFed Training in Renton to tap in with Fitness Coach Adaeze Medani and showcase some ways you can stay in shape as well as the natural methods she uses. Medani and Gordon went through a workout which can be done in the fitness studio or at home, and you can follow along and try out some of the exercises they did.
