Diamond Lil joins the We Live In Color holiday episode
Deaunte Damper hosted the We Live In Color special featuring Diamond Lil. The fun-filled and introspective episode focuses on her journey through the world of performance, starting with karaoke and ending with full-fledged spectacles. The award-winning drag queen and community advocate spoke with Damper about her experiences as a member of the Black Trans community and performing in various spaces around the city.

GSBA EQUALUX Gala raises $800,000 for LGBTQ+ Future Leaders
With over 600 people in attendance Saturday night, including our very own Besa Gordon and Deaunte Damper, the GSBA Equalux Gala 2022 at the Westin Hotel was a smashing success raising over $800,000 in support of LGBTQ+ Future Leaders and allies.
We Live In Color: Overdose Awareness Day Special
Converge Media show We Live In Color presents a special episode on Wednesday to honor Overdose Awareness Day. Host Deaunte Damper will welcome Malika Lamont and Brad Finegood to the Black Media Matters Studio to discuss the work they’re doing in the community around the issue.
Nikkita Oliver reflects on time in Seattle ahead of next step
Nikkita Oliver joined host Deaunte Damper on We Live In Color for a special episode which in which Oliver and Damper talked about a variety of issues before Oliver moves to the Midwest.
“I love Deaunte, and consider us to be good friends,” Oliver said. “I'm really excited to support anything that he is doing. I also love that there's a space to uplift, black and brown, queer folks in the city that are doing good work.”
Battling Stigmas: Deaunte Damper hopes to encourage those fighting addiction by sharing his story
Deaunte Damper is set to make his return to the set of We Live In Color Wednesday night at 8:30 pm with special guest Nikkita Oliver. Damper had taken leave to pursue treatment for addiction, and is now back to share his story as well as the stories of others.
“I feel rejuvenated,” Damper said. “I’d been dealing with addiction for a while and I felt like it was finally time to learn to really take care of myself.”
Converge Media taps Deaunte Damper to lead LGBTQIA Programming
SEATTLE, WA – Converge Media recently announced that longtime community activist and advocate Deaunte Damper has joined the company as head of LGBTQ+ programming. In addition to his duties as curator and producer, Damper hosts a new bi-weekly show, We Live in Color with Deaunte Damper, which premiered across all Converge Media platforms on May 25. The next episode will air on June 22 at 8 p.m. at www.WhereWeConverge.com.
