Mariners take series against Cardinals with 5-4 win in game two
Again, the Seattle Mariners scored five runs against the St. Louis Cardinals, and once again it was enough to secure victory against their interleague opponent. While Mariners ace Luis Castillo may have had an “off-day,” the Seattle offense was able to pick up some of the slack as Jarred Kelenic and Teoscar Hernandez homered before an Eugenio Suarez 2-RBI single gave Seattle a lead.
Kraken swing first, but Avalanche find holes in Seattle’s game to take game three
In game three of their first round Stanley Cup Playoff matchup against the defending champion Colorado Avalanche, Seattle’s flawed were exploited by Colorado as the Avalanche took a second straight game. In the first Stanley Cup Playoff game in Seattle since 1919, a capacity crowd filled Climate Pledge Arena, and brought the signature Seattle sports sound we’ve become accustomed to.
Reign find finishing touch, net five goals in victory over Red Stars
The OL Reign returned home to Lumen Field and NWSL regular season play with a 5-2 victory over the Chicago Red Stars, powered by braces scored by forward Bethany Balcer and midfielder Jess Fishlock. Although the Reign had miscues on their two goals allowed to Chicago, they were able to dominate the Red Stars.
Late Rusnak rocket and strong defense propel Sounders to victory over Minnesota
The Seattle Sounders got back on the winning track following their embarrassing loss to the Portland Timbers, as a 79th minute Albert Rusnak goal buried Minnesota United FC at Lumen Field. Seattle’s strong defensive play set the foundation for this win, and Rusnak’s rocket of a goal secured it.
Teoscar hits towering blast, reaches base four times against Cardinals as Mariners snaps three-game losing streak
The Seattle Mariners snapped their three-game losing streak and took game one of their three game slate against the St. Louis Cardinals behind starting pitcher George Kirby’s solid outings and a strong showing by Teoscar Hernandez at the dish. The Mariners played one of their more complete games to date, and picked up a needed victory.
Hot start not sustained by Kraken, Avalanche find their form to even the series
In game two of their Stanley Cup Playoffs round one matchup against the Colorado Avalanche, the Seattle Kraken failed to maintain their intensity from the first period, allowing three unanswered goals after the first intermission. After two games, the Kraken return to Seattle with an even series to bring back to their fans at Climate Pledge Arena.
Liberated Village Education Festival Aims to Celebrate and Empower Black and Brown Youth on May 13th
The Liberated Village Arts and Education Festival takes place on May 13th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Alan T. Sugiyama High School. The event will feature about 20 organizations which have been funded by King County through a million-dollar initiative, and will aim to educate and empower Black and Brown youth of all ages, primarily middle school and high school students.
Mariners offense can’t support Marco Gonzales’ strong effort, Seattle swept by Milwaukee
The visiting Milwaukee Brewers (formerly the Seattle Pilots) completed a sweep of our Seattle Mariners despite a strong effort by Seattle starting pitcher Marco Gonzales and the Mariners having a golden opportunity in the bottom of the ninth as they had the bases loaded with no outs.

The Seattle Kraken opened up their first Stanley Cup Playoffs run with a game one victory in the first round against the defending champion Colorado Avalanche. Seattle used several keys to their success throughout the regular season to stun Colorado on their own ice.

Our Seattle Mariners dropped their second straight loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, losing today in eleven innings. Our Mariners had a big opportunity to tie the game up and even win it in the bottom of the eleventh, but Julio Rodriguez grounded into a fielders choice to end things.
