Besa Gordon, host of Back2Besa, joined Erin Mayovsky on Good Day Seattle this morning to preview an upcoming segment on Africatown Plaza, a new affordable housing development in Seattle's Central District. The event took place at T-Mobile Park’s Ellis Pavilion, where members of Baseball Beyond Borders (BBB) and supporters gathered to relive the powerful journey taken by the 18u all-star team over that summer.

This marked a significant milestone in the show's evolution and in Gordon's relationship with FOX13 Seattle. Last season, Besa balanced recording between Converge Media's Black Media Matters Studio and Iheart Media Seattle, showcasing her adaptability and commitment to delivering top-notch content.

Our Seattle Kraken will close out their three-game road trip, the first road set of the 2024-25 season, with a battle against the Nashville Predators in what certainly won't be an easy feat. Despite being winless through two games to open the year, the Predators remain a tough team and that won't change tonight against our Kraken.

Ten years after the Seattle City Council unanimously designated the second Monday in October Indigenous Peoples’ Day in 2014, hundreds of people marched from King Street Station to Westlake Park. Indigenous Peoples Day became an official city holiday in 2022.
