Takiyah "TDUB" Ward speaks on recent robbery at The Resole

Meet Takiyah "TDUB" Ward, a Seattle-born creative who has been making her mark in the arts and culture scene in an undeniable way. From custom sneakers and clothing through TDUB Customs, murals and art activations through Vivid Matter Collective, and media and storytelling through Art Of The Matter, Ward has explored her talents in a number of ways over the years.

TDUB’s most recent venture, a sneaker dry cleaner by the name The Re-Sole 206 experienced a break in only five months in business. With over 25 pairs of customer sneakers and her peace of mind being stolen. Ward has had to pivot in a phenomenal way to ensure her business stays open as they begin the uphill battle of recovering from this unbearable loss. But she is determined to see it through.

The Re-Sole 206 serves as a sneaker culture hub where folks can learn the finer points of caring for and reviving their footwear, and sharing in the love for sneakers and street fashion. TDUB's mission is to be a part of the solution to textile waste and overconsumption of apparel goods through breathing new life into the things we already possess, allowing us to reconnect and appreciate what we have.

TDUB stopped by The Day With Trae with TraeAnna Holiday to update Trae on the break in but also The Re-Sole 206’s efforts to promote sustainability and creativity in the sneaker community as well as the upcoming Red Bull Lords Of The Floor event in which she is an ambassador.
