On the debut episode of The Pop-Up! Presents: Movement Makers, host Sean Goode welcomed David Heppard, Co-Founder and Director of Vision & Values at The Black Rose Collective.

Drawing from his lived experience after spending 24 years incarcerated, Heppard explored what it truly means to support people and communities impacted by incarceration, violence, trauma, and systemic barriers. The conversation dove into the root causes of harm, the work of The Black Rose Collective, and the foundational belief that grounds his approach to community healing and systems change.
