Last night’s episode of The Pop-Up! featured Kelabe Tewolde, a candidate for State Representative in the 37th LD, and community organizer Sierra-Leone Jones. Tewolde, a Seattle Planning Commission member and educator, discussed his vision for public safety and Seattle’s Black community, while Jones shared insights into her organization, A Space Inside.

The show dove into the importance of creating spaces for Black voices in Seattle and promote upcoming community events, including Inside’s BIPOC-centered Open Mic Night at Colman Commons happening every last Friday of the month.
