Brotherhood and Community: BUILD206 Roasts and Fundraises for Darryl Glover
Earlier this month, the community gathered in the name of a legend. The Brothers United In Leadership Development (BUILD206) recently honored Seattle videographer and storyteller Darryl Glover for his 58th birthday at Acts on Stage in White Center, Washington for a night of endearing roasts and testimonials.
The collective effort celebrated the instrumental community figure whose work through Dancing In The Rain Media and pivotal support for the launch of Converge Media’s video platforms, like “The Morning Update Show,” has humbly uplifted countless underrepresented stories, mentored youth, and documented key cultural events since March 2020.
Glover’s influence is matched only by his resilience. Amidst overcoming significant personal battles, including cancer and kidney failure, he remains a profound source of strength for his community. This was highlighted by his family, including his wife Treona Glover, daughter Trinity Glover, nephew Fynniecko Glover Jr., and close friends William Davis, Isiah Anderson Jr., and more. They recalled his selfless support and unwavering dedication to serving the people and community he loves.
Glover's message remains clear: perseverance is essential, and no matter how tough the journey, there is always something to grab on to for guidance. Learn more about BUILD206 at build206.com
