The very personal and emotional moments he went through with each person has shaped his philosophy and deepened his emotional intelligence. He went on a journey with each woman that gave away her crown in the face of pain and struggle that accompanies a cancer diagnosis. These raw and challenging situations, rife with hugs and tears, became irreplaceable moments that strengthened his approach to the emotional side of cutting hair. Since then, Yvey knew he wanted to be known for building a community and taking a human-centered approach to his craft.
