Seattle Emergency Hubs' Activation Drill: Unplugged!

Volunteers from neighborhood Hubs all around the city will practice realizing the Hubs' mission of gathering and sharing information, matching resources with needs, and supporting resiliency in the aftermath of a disaster or crisis, during the critical period before outside help arrives.

The scenario: a massive power-grid failure has left the entire Pacific Northwest without electricity. It's now Day 3: transportation has ground to a halt, food has begun to spoil, and outside help will not be available for at least another week.

The public is invited to observe, to learn about preparedness, and (if desired) to play the part of a "neighbor in need."
