Quincy Jones Tribute ft. Soul Vaccination with special guest Andy Stokes
Legendary 12-piece funk powerhouse Soul Vaccination returns to Alberta Abbey for a night of unstoppable energy, featuring Brian Harris on keys, Gary Harris on sax, and a full lineup of Portland’s finest musicians.
This special performance celebrates Black Music Month with a tribute to the one and only Quincy Jones- spanning five decades of timeless R&B, funk, and soul hits from one of music’s greatest icons.
Joining them for this exclusive one-night event is Portland’s own soul sensation, Andy Stokes. After signing a national deal, releasing a hit single penned by Charlie Wilson of the Gap Band, and touring nationally, Andy returns to his roots to deliver a performance you won’t forget.

BLACK TO MY ROOTS; African American Tales from the Head and from the Heart
Join us at Rainier Arts Center in South Seattle for a powerful evening of theatre featuring BLACK TO MY ROOTS: African American Tales from the Head and the Heart. This full-length performance explores the cultural significance of African American and African heritage through stories that center on the personal, social, and political meaning of Black women’s hair.
Special Presentation** - Excerpts from BLACK D*CK MATTERS
Written by Kathya Alexander and directed by Tyrone Brown, this provocative yet thoughtful piece uses monologues to explore Black masculinity, intimacy, systemic injustice, and the impact of movements like #BlackLivesMatter on Black male identity.
