Colman Commons Captures Black Joy at Pioneer Square Art Walk Afters
One month after the Colman Commons Grand Opening, it’s clearer than ever that the celebration was a homecoming for our community and a place to find solace in one another’s joy and creativity.
From honoring legendary local Black women during the "...in ART" panel to celebrating collective wellness, the energy was electric. To top it off, The Elite Collective partnered with The Smile Patrol to bring the ultimate 360 photobooth experience, capturing every smile, every dance move from influencer Mark Tells Ya, Converge co-founder Erik Kalligraphy, and A Space Inside founder Sierra Jones, and every moment of pure Black joy.
Under the vision of Executive Director Ashleigh McCurdy, this incredible celebration was a beautiful reminder of what happens when we pull up, shine together, and build lasting spaces for underrepresented brilliance in the Pacific Northwest.
