From WOW Gallery to Ezell’s Chicken: Besa and Cuddy’s Weekend Rundown
This week on Almost The Weekend, Besa Gordon and Curtis “Cuddy” Delgardo are back with a full lineup of events, culture, and community.
The Weekend Warm-Up is loaded, from SIP Seduction at Midtown Square and Wanawari’s Walk the Block Festival to Taste of Federal Way and the WOW Gallery’s closing celebration at Pacific Place. Besa even throws in a wild card with a True Crime and Victorian Seattle tour through Pioneer Square.
Then it’s time to check in with Portland, where Tra’Renee spotlights the Ivy, Pearls & Sneakers takeover from the AKA Sorors, Rose City Jam’s Night Sports community event, and DJ OG One’s Meeting of the Minds mixer.
Cuddy drops gems in Artist Corner, breaking down how artists can protect their music and get paid through licensing, publishing, and distribution.
Community Corner turns up the flavor with Ezell’s Famous Chicken CEO Lewis Rudd. He pulls up to share the launch of Ezell’s new Heritage Collection merch line, their fresh partnership with Redbird Farms, and the throwback $3.99 two-piece-and-a-roll special. Of course, he didn’t come empty-handed, he blessed the hosts with some brand-new Ezell’s gear.
The show wraps with Weekend Picks, where Besa and Cuddy map out everything from the last days of summer to celebrating WOW Gallery one last time.
Almost The Weekend airs Thursday at 9pm on Converge Media.
