MLB All-Star Julio Rodríguez has unveiled the fully renovated baseball complex in his hometown of Loma de Cabrera, Dominican Republic, marking a significant personal investment in the community where he began his career. Funded by a personal investment exceeding $1.3 million, the project introduces the Dominican Republic’s first-ever public astroturf baseball field, transforming the historic site into a modern, multi-sport facility.
The unveiling ceremony celebrated the field where Rodríguez grew up playing, bringing together community members, youth athletes, and government officials. The event was attended by numerous fellow MLB stars, including Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., Oneil Cruz, Noelvi Marte, Luis Castillo, Christopher Morel, Ronel Blanco, and Victor Robles. Two-time NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas and influencer Vic Blends were also in attendance to show support for the community initiative.
The comprehensive renovation, completed through Rodríguez’s No Limits Foundation and Green Hope, with construction led by Orlova Group, aims to create safe, inspiring spaces for young people. The new complex features three baseball fields (one main and two tee-ball fields), a soccer field, turf playing surfaces, professional drainage, stadium lighting, batting cages, bullpens, spectator stands, and bathrooms.

In a recent press release from the No Limits Foundation, Rodríguez emphasized the personal importance of the project.
“This field is where everything started for me. Being able to give back to Loma de Cabrera and create a place where kids can feel proud, feel safe, and believe in themselves means everything. I want them to know there are no limits to what they can achieve,” he said in the press release.
The baseball complex is the latest in a series of initiatives by Rodríguez to benefit Loma de Cabrera. His ongoing commitment has included funding the town's first-ever ambulance and fully renovating the local cultural center. Following the unveiling, a two-day community initiative was launched, focusing on health, wellness, and celebration. This included free vision screenings in partnership with Oakley and OneSight, free haircuts with Vic Blends, and a basketball clinic with Isaiah Thomas and Dominican national team star Victor Liz. Additionally, over 7,500 toys and baseball equipment items were donated to children to celebrate Three Kings Day.
The project received support from various partners, including Adidas, Gatorade, T-Mobile, Nintendo, Victus, the Washington Apple Commission, the Seattle Mariners, MLBPA, Play Ball, Dynasty Financial, and Rairdon Automotive Group.
