Papablack Davinci Brings “Fine Shyt Fridays” and Star Power to Seattle’s Nightlife Scene
When it comes to curating unforgettable nightlife experiences in the Pacific Northwest, Papablack Davinci is in a lane of his own. On a recent episode of Almost The Weekend, he joined hosts Besa Gordon and Curtis Delgardo II to talk about his monthly event series Fine Shyt Fridays, his plans to bring viral artists like YKNIECE to Seattle, and why he’s committed to elevating the culture in the region.
Papablack broke down how Fine Shyt Fridays became a signature vibe at MIRRA in Bellevue. What started as a one-night concept quickly turned into a full residency thanks to a “7 to 1 ladies ratio” and a playlist heavy on R&B and sing-along hits. “It’s officially a ladies night—ladies free ‘til midnight,” he said. “We do heavy on the R&B. It’s like 70/30 R&B versus Hip Hop. That sing-along music vibe, we want to get the ladies in the crowd singing every song.”
He also emphasized his passion for working with emerging talent. One of the DJs he’s spotlighting right now is DJ Motion, whose energy and sound are helping drive the party’s growing buzz. “I pride myself in curating and bringing new people to the forefront,” he shared.
But parties are just part of the story. Papablack has been instrumental in bringing major artists to Seattle before they break nationally—like Cardi B, who he booked for a Washington show before her meteoric rise. Now, he’s focused on YKNIECE, one of the fastest-rising female artists in Hip Hop. “She’s going viral everywhere right now,” he explained. “Even Beyoncé’s daughters have been doing the dance from her single. I wanted to be one of the first to bring her to the West Coast.”
For Papablack, the mission goes far beyond events—it’s about changing the narrative. “There’s so many artists that have never been to Seattle, Washington,” he said. “I pride myself on getting them out here to see that yes, there is an urban environment here. We do have a strong Hip Hop and R&B community.”
He also teased an exclusive drop: next month, he’s planning a Game Day experience at MIRRA, complete with big screen gaming, team competitions, and special guests from across the city’s creative scene. “We’re setting up our first game day because it is summertime,” he said. “It’s going to be team-oriented with social media folks, podcast crews—just a dope vibe.”
With a consistent track record, undeniable vision, and love for his city, Papablack Davinci continues to raise the bar for entertainment in the PNW. As he put it, “I consider myself one of the most consistent event coordinators in Washington state. Whether it’s a concert, party, celebrity event, or even a marijuana convention—I’ve got my hands in a few different things.”
To stay tapped in with everything Papablack has going on, just Google him. “I’m the only one in the world,” he said. “Papablack DaVinci. You’ll find me.”
