Portland’s Annual Black History Month Market & Celebration Is Back for Year Two
Get ready to celebrate community, culture, and Black excellence at the 2nd Annual Black History Month Market & Celebration in Portland, Oregon. Join the PDX community for an unforgettable Sunday afternoon packed with family fun, food, and incredible talent. This year is set to be bigger and better than ever, featuring a stacked entertainment lineup and a chance to support Black-owned businesses and farmers from across Oregon.
“This year’s Black History Month Market and Celebration is a place to come together, especially in these days and times with everything gong on,” event organizer Juma Blaq said. “We need to come together and celebrate each other.”
A Host of Talent
For the first time ever, the event will be hosted by the legendary Portland music and entertainment personalities Tra’Renee Chambers and Cool Nutz, bringing over 20 years of experience and energy to the stage. Keeping the vibes high will be DJ O.G.ONE, the official DJ for the Portland Trail Blazers on the sounds.

Family Fun: Enjoy a day of excitement with face painting, books, basketball, and a variety of other activities to keep the entire family entertained.

Live Performances: Catch live performances from Wavyjosef, Juma Blaq, and special guest Speaker Minds.
Community & Commerce: This is your opportunity to meet some of the top Black Owned Farmers in Oregon and hear from local Black-owned business owners.
