Sixteen Years of Style: David Jefferson and Stackin Kickz Make Waves in Rose City Streetwear

David Jefferson, the visionary founder of Stackin Kickz in Portland, Oregon has been making major waves in the Rose City’s streetwear culture for sixteen years. The Converge Media crew, including producer Juma Blaq and photographer Dean Bechard, recently linked up with Jefferson to capture his impeccable aesthetic and incredible journey.

In 2010, he started his urban streetwear and lifestyle brand “out the trunk.” Today, he operates a premier storefront in the Lloyd Center Mall in Portland, creating a destination that celebrates global sneaker culture and showcases Jefferson’s signature style.

Beyond the racks and sneakers, Jefferson is deeply committed to fostering unity and authenticity within the Black community. In addition to Stackin Kickz, he collaborates with his partner on "Returning Black to Love,” a platform that facilitates meaningful conversations through panels and theatrical performances that explore identity, connection, and community growth.

Be on the lookout for the full story on Converge Media in the coming weeks.
