PHOTOS: The MLB ID Tour Features The Future of PNW Baseball
The future of baseball recently shone brightly at the Mariners Training Center in Columbia City as the Mayor League Baseball (MLB) ID Tour returned to Seattle for its second year. This "pro-style" workout is designed to uncover local gems like Kobe Reese and Cameron Dietrich, who were discovered at last year's tour stop and are now highly-touted prospects in the class of 2028.
The HBCU Seattle Series Is Coming to Seattle University
The 2026 HBCU Seattle Series returns to the Northwest this March, led by Baseball Beyond Borders (BBB). The weekend brings Jackson State University baseball to Seattle University from March 6–8, 2026, marking a historic moment for Black collegiate sports visibility in the Pacific Northwest. What began with the 2023 HBCU Swingman Classic has evolved into a homegrown movement to build pipelines, shift narratives, and prove that representation on the field changes what youth believe is possible.
Northwest Prospect Showcase Amplifies Youth Baseball Dreams at T-Mobile Park
The event, known as the Northwest Prospect Showcase, aimed to amplify and expand access to baseball for youth in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, with a particular focus on African American, Black, and Brown student-athletes.

Growing the game with everyone in mind: EL1 and the Mariners collaborate to launch the “Mariners Training Center”
During the Mariners’ Pre-Spring Training Media Event the organization announced that in partnership with EL1, they were launching the “Mariners Training Center.” Spanning five of EL1’s facilities across the state of Washington, the goal of this collaboration is to expand equitable access and participation in youth baseball and softball.
