Fathers and Sons Together (FAST) returned to the Rainier Beach Community Center earlier this month to host the Barbershop Chat, Chew & Play event, creating a space for fellowship and joy in Rainier Beach.

Fathers and Sons Together (FAST) recently hosted the Basketball Empowerment Camp Honoring Slick Watts at the Rainier Beach Community Center, creating an event that empowered underserved youth in sports and addressed an urgent need for collective healing in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood. 

Seattle basketball legend Donald Earl "Slick" Watts remains a towering figure whose legacy extends far beyond the court. A symbol of heart, resilience, and deep community pride, Watts' spirit is set to be honored at a special community celebration: the Basketball Empowerment Camp, aptly titled "Thank You for the Love” on March 21, 2026 at the Rainier Beach Community Center.
