Last night, Cindi Bright hosted a debate about I-135, an initiative which aims to create social housing for artists and other low income residents. The initiative is the only item on the ballot for February 14th’s special election.

Cindi Bright helped kick off Black History Month on her show HeartBeat with members of the San Francisco African American Reparations Committee Eric McDonnell and Dr. Amos Brown. They spoke about the importance of acknowledging that past injustices still play a major role in daily life today, as well as what they propose can be done to increase equities in affected communities.

Lawyer Sade Smith joined HeartBeat with Cindi Bright to discuss efforts to reform the King County Jail as well as the King County court and bail system.

“Our community members are having large amounts of bail posted on them,” Smith said. She added that the bail placed on Black people in the jail is 40% higher than the average.

Converge Media’s newest show HeartBeat: Prosperity for Black America featured a dive into the issues facing Black men following the recent deaths of Twitch and Michael Rowland, as well as countless others suffering in silence.

Award-Winning Author Cindi Bright’s show ‘Heartbeat: Prosperity for Black America’ debuted on the Converge Media Network on Wednesday night. Bright began the show in 2018, and since then has built a brand which now takes its next step into the broadcast realm.
