Seattle legend Tre Simmons hosted the annual back to school backpack giveaway, providing backpacks, school supplies, food and more to the community ahead of the 2022-23 school year. Converge Media’s Pop-Culture Queen Besa Gordon made a splash in Chicago on Thursday when she hosted the first panel of the 2022 Morning Show Boot Camp. The MSBC is a convention which brings together radio hosts, executives, producers and suppliers for two days of networking and education. Storm take 1-0 series lead over Washington Mystics
In game one of their first round matchup, the Seattle Storm came back to defeat the Washington Mystics 86-83. Shooting guard Jewell Loyd overcame her slow start to score 12 of the last 14 points for the Storm. Seattle is now one game away from winning the series.
THE SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY RECEIVES GRANT TO SUPPORT TEEN MENTAL HEALTH FROM THE INSTITUTE OF MUSEUM AND LIBRARY SERVICES
Recognizing that community-centered public libraries can play a unique role in addressing the teen mental health crisis, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded The Seattle Public Library a $249,743 grant for a three-year project titled “Creating Space for Teen Mental Health.”
